The Town Festival
The Town is a three-day festival two hours outside of Melbourne, Australia. It is a mock village full of characters, games, and debauchery. The Town attempts to mirror a sustainable model of our real lives, exploring what makes a healthy community. With interactive areas including a 50’s rollerskating rink, diner, massage parlor, travel agency, chapel, downtown shops, and many more.
As the narrative director, I weaved an interactive theatrical narrative throughout the festival. A quartz mine was discovered within the idyllic town which triggered a chain of events in which Mine-Full mining corporation started gentrifying the beloved culture until The Town was pushed to the brink of collapse. A resistance formed in order to climatically reclaim the property to the rightful owners.
