Brief

Google Cloud Next '25 brought 36,000 people to Mandalay Bay over three days. It was the largest event anywhere in Alphabet, and the first big conference after Gemini launched, and the expo floor had to turn a new AI platform into something people could put their hands on.

Approach

I was Creative Manager for the Showcase, the middle of the expo floor. I ran creative delivery across forty workstreams and a twenty-person creative studio, covering a 35,000 square foot AI-generated city. Over forty interactive activations ran off a single narrative that carried through the whole venue, built around the invitation to imagine, learn and build. We made the AI Basketball Coach, a retro-futuristic Dial an App booth and a Lego-powered Quick Build game show, then kept a hand-made counterweight to all the screens in the Museum of Artifacts and a state-by-state small business showcase.

Outcome

36,000 attendees across three days. Forty-plus activations in 35,000 square feet, from wayfinding through workshop zones.
