Megabots Live! The Wreckoning

The summer kick-off event for Megabots, the giant fighting robot company looking to unleash its spectacle of destruction in Oakland. The event featured the design and implementation of using giant robots as theatrical props. During the event Zork Muckerborg, an evil Silicon Valley technocrat aimed to steal and sell all the world’s data, while Eagle Prime, a 16-foot tall mech-robot, acted as the privacy defender of the galaxy. Eagle Prime wielded its powerful claws to maim and crush washing machines, ovens, and clothes dryers. It used a thundering 430 horsepower V8 engine to spin up its mighty 5-foot-long chainsaw to rip open a cargo van like a soup can.

The event was captured using a multi-cam stream and presented to the Patreon supporters of Megabots.  The event sold out, twice, as there were additional tickets released due to popular demand. Multiple media outlets covered the event. VIP tickets allowed attendees to take pictures inside the robot, and for one lucky individual who was given the opportunity to pilot the robot.
